This page is dedicated to the neuropsychologists who were the original members of the American Board of Clinical Neuropsychology (ABCN). The ABCN was initiated in 1981 after completion of the report of the INS/Division 40 Task Force on Education, Accreditation, and Training in Clinical Neuropsychology. A group of Task Force members met in Minneapolis during 1981 to plan a boarding procedure that would recognize the competent practice of clinical neuropsychology. Later that year the ABCN was incorporated in Minnesota. During 1983, 22 neuropsychologists were examined by each other and seated as members of the ABCN. This page will present the photos and brief bios of the original ABCN members, starting with those who are deceased. It is hoped that the remaining members of the original board will be added soon. If any questions or suggestions, please contact Corwin Boake, PhD, ABPP (CN) corwin.boake@uth.tmc.edu.
